  Single segment backplane
Turck introduces new single-channel power conditioner backplane for Foundation Fieldbus H1 segments

The sensor, fieldbus, interface and connection technology specialist, Turck, extends its diagnostic power conditioner system (DPC) with a new interface backplane for single Foundation Fieldbus segments. The new DPC-49-1RMB is specially suited for smaller fieldbus installations, and thus provides a handy alternative to the recently introduced DPC-49-4RMB multi-segment backplanes.

Like the multi-segment backplanes, the new DPC-49-1RMB features a redundant power supply, as well as built-in diagnostics via a system alarm relay contact. Based on the established DPC-49-IPS1, the new backplane supplies power to a single Foundation Fieldbus segment. Connections to the host system and to the field are provided via removable 3-pin screw terminals. A high electromagnetic compliance (EMC) is achieved via insulated shield bus or via the 3-pole screw terminal which is internally connected to the M5 threaded bolt for equipotential bonding.

Redundancy on a small footprint: The new DPC-49-1RMB helps users supply power to single Foundation Fieldbus H1 segments and integrate them into plantwide maintenance strategies
