Turck will present a practicable M12 quick-connect concept on this year’s SPS/IPC/Drives fair. The M12 quick-connect solution, which was developed by Escha Connection Technology, a company belonging to the Turck Group, is compatible to all M12 threads and even impure die-cast threads are no longer a problem. In 85 percent of cases the connection is mounted quicker than the comparable M12x1solution, it comes in degree of protection IP67 and is thus unique on the market.
The so called ’key-way display’ provides the user with a clear interlock message. Additional features like high stability and an integrated vibration protection also guarantee high connection reliability. While female connectors will be available as 4 and 5-pole versions, straight and angled with the SPS/IPC/Drives, the other versions will follow at the beginning of the year 2008.
Turck is targeting a higher market acceptance with the quick-connect concept, as the new Turck-Escha solution eliminates all disadvantages of the previous products. To be more precise, there are no problems concerning compatibility, mounting, watertightness and resistance of the connection.
